BEHIND THE CACTUS WORKSHOP

OUR STORY

THE CACTUS WORKSHOP is a small, family owned and operated nursery, located in the beautiful Northern Rivers. It was founded by myself (Lauren) and my husband.

Raised in the countryside, my family ran a nursery and I filled my days roaming around fascinated by all the unique shapes and colours of all the plants. I was fascinated by how succulents and cacti not only survived but thrived in the countryside, despite minimal rainfall and years of drought.

Motivated by an incredible passion for cactus and succulent plants, I decided to turn my hobby into a business, starting with a small collection from when I was at a young age to selling plants from my backyard and at the local markets. This lead me to a horticulturalist degree specialising in desert plants.

Cacti and succulents are a good alternative to people who don't have time to care daily for their plants. These plants thrive in poor soils and low-water conditions. They symbolize perseverance, unconditional love, and growth which are the pillars of THE CACTUS WORKSHOP.

At THE CACTUS WORKSHOP you will be able to find all different varieties of cactus and succulent for sale. Every plant variety is hand selected for its unique qualities. Our online store provides potted plants, affordable DIY kits, cuttings and the ability to buy in bulk and affordable assorted trays with no minimum order.

We can also assist you in choosing the right plant for your environment. Whether it's for your apartment, home garden, lawn replacement, office, green roofs, living walls, wedding or special events, we have the best plants for you.

We are dedicated to growing a wide variety of desert plants and are consistently enlarging our selection. Gardening is truly therapeutic. I'm sure a lot of you will agree with me when I say that plants become part of the family, just like pets. Our motto is simple - plants make us happier, healthier humans.

You will also find us at the local Bangalow markets in the Northern Rivers once a month.
