FRITHIA PULCHRA
Habitat: South Africa
Description:
Frithia pulchra, commonly known as "Pink Baby Toes" or "Fairy Elephant’s Feet," is a stunning and unusual succulent prized for its distinctive appearance. Native to the rocky grasslands of South Africa, this compact plant is perfectly adapted to arid conditions. It grows just below the soil surface and resembles small pebbles, with fleshy, translucent-tipped leaves that help diffuse sunlight.
One of the most attractive window-leaf succulents, Frithia pulchra forms a stemless rosette that can reach up to 2.5 cm tall and 13 cm wide. In bloom, it produces masses of small, daisy-like flowers with vibrant magenta petals and white centres. These eye-catching blooms appear in full sun from late spring through autumn, followed by tiny brown fruits.
Ideal for collectors or anyone looking for a unique, low-maintenance plant, Frithia pulchra brings a delightful burst of colour and charm to any succulent collection or indoor garden.
