Native to Mexico, Mammillaria 'Pico v. Dalek' is known for its charming, compact size and unique appearance.

The plant features small, spherical stems densely covered with short, white, hair-like spines, giving it a fluffy, snowball-like look. As it matures, it forms clusters of offsets, gradually expanding into a charming cluster over time, typically reaches up to 6 cm in width.

Care Guide

Light
Mammillaria cacti thrive in full sun or bright indirect light. They require at least 4–6 hours of direct sunlight daily to grow optimally. High levels of light are needed to flower and for good spine development. Can be sunburned if moved from shade into full sun too quickly. If grown indoors, place them near a south or west-facing window where they can receive plenty of light.

Water
Water every 2–3 weeks in spring and summer, adjusting based on temperature and humidity. In the cooler months, water sparingly, about once every 4–6 weeks. Always allow the soil to dry completely between waterings and avoid letting the plant sit in water to prevent overwatering and root rot.

Soil
The plant requires well-drained soil, such as a mix of pumice, clay, and regular soil, to ensure proper drainage and prevent root rot. A perforated pot is ideal for allowing excess water to escape.
