Rebutia cv. Pink Sensation is a compact and hardy cactus, typically reaching 4 cm in diameter and 3-4 cm in height. It forms dense clusters that can expand up to 15 cm wide. Native to the mountainous regions of Bolivia and Argentina, this cactus features green, globular heads adorned with soft golden-brown spines.

In spring, it produces vibrant pink flowers with a yellow centre that bloom during the day and close at night. The blooms last a few days, but mature plants can flower for up to two weeks.

Care Guide

Light
This cactus thrives in warmer, frost-free winters and can be grown outdoors in full sun or bright shade, although it should be protected during extreme heat. Indoors, it requires a very bright location to maintain its shape and encourage blooming. Indoors, place it in the sunniest spot, preferably a west- or south-facing window.

Water
Can survive long periods of drought, but will respond to regular watering by growing bigger and faster. During the growing season, which is typically spring and summer, you can water your cactus every 2-3 weeks. In contrast, during the dormant period in winter, you'll want to reduce watering to once every 4-6 weeks.
