Rebutia steinbachii subsp. augustinii is a stunning cactus that brings a vibrant burst of colour to any space with its rich purple and green hues. Care Guide

Light
Thrive in full sun or bright indirect light. They require at least 4–6 hours of direct sunlight daily to grow optimally. High levels of light are needed to flower and for good spine development. Can be sunburned if moved from shade into full sun too quickly. If grown indoors, place them near a south or west-facing window where they can receive plenty of light.

Water
Water every 2–3 weeks in spring and summer, adjusting based on temperature and humidity. In the cooler months, water sparingly, about once every 4–6 weeks. Always allow the soil to dry completely between waterings and avoid letting the plant sit in water to prevent overwatering and root rot.

Soil
Well-draining cactus and succulent soil with 70% to 80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
